This was my first Mainstage design at University of Arkansas. This production was the directors thesis piece. The design was conceptual being a mix of a rocky landscape and an orrery. After working with the director one-on-one in the graduate studio working on a bash model (paper and clay) I moved on to more formal sketches and eventually to a digital rendering as well as drafting packets. As a graduate student I was also involved with the building and painting of this production. I did a lot of the foam carving and bending the aluminum pipe we used as pieces of the orrery. To this day this is one of my favorite pieces I have worked on.
